Ingredients
    For the Burgers:
  • lb ground beef (80% lean)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 American cheese
  • Lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions (for toppings)
  • For the Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp pickle juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. 1. Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle juice, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  2. 2. Preheat the Griddle: Heat a griddle or cast-iron skillet over high heat.
  3. 3. Form the Patties: Divide the ground beef into four equal portions and form into loose balls.
  4. 4. Smash the Burgers: Place a beef ball on the hot griddle and use a spatula to smash it down into a thin patty. Season with salt and pepper.
